\hfill fills the line with whitespace\hrulefill fills the line with a baseline rule\dotfill fills the line with dots
With the \leaders macro it is easy to define some more
horizontal fills, like :
Download the small package xhfill.sty and save it anywhere in the TeX tree.
Don't forget to run texhash.
